Write the plan and its sub headings as succicntly as possible.
Write medications and vaccines in shorthand focusing on Name, ROA, Dose, Duration, frequency.
Use short hand when applicable
Quick update: if you haven’t seen it yet, this can now be handled with custom instructions for default templates.
You can go to Preferences > Default Templates, select the relevant template, such as SOAP, and add an instruction in the User Instructions field at the top. For example: “Write the Plan section and subheadings as succinctly as possible. Use shorthand when appropriate. For medications and vaccines, focus on name, route of administration, dose, duration, and frequency.”
This should help address this request and give you more control over your notes without needing a full custom template.
We are exploring the possibility of adding a detail level option for the plan in template settings if many users would like this. We are also exploring making all default templates customizable with specific instructions so you can have more control over the output.
