I want the ability to have my SOAPs and call summaries less detail

Quick update: since our last comment, custom instructions for default SOAP templates are now available.

You can go to Preferences > Default Templates, select SOAP, and add instructions in the User Instructions field at the top. This can be used to make SOAP notes more concise, adjust the level of detail, and control formatting preferences such as shorthand entries for vaccines, medications, treatments, etc.

For example, you could add an instruction like: “Keep the Plan section concise and use shorthand when appropriate. For vaccines, use shorthand formatting such as Rabies RR SQ - 1 year.”

Quick update: if you haven’t already seen it, call summaries now support custom instructions, which can be used to make them more concise or adjust the level of detail. Customizable default SOAP templates should also be available very soon (likely next week), allowing you to add custom instructions to Auto SOAP and other default notes for more control over detail level, overall output, and formatting preferences such as shorthand entries for vaccines, treatments, etc.

From Danielle: when I dictate that I give a vaccine, I will say rabies right rear SQ 1 year. It then turns it into a wordy sentence. Is there a way to have it format into "Rabies RR SQ - 1 year"

A toggle switch to write these remarks in short hand would be possible solution

Thanks for the feedback! We are exploring the possibility of adding a detail level option for notes in template settings if there is enough interest. However, there are also other ways we are working on to achieve the same result. We are looking into making all default templates customizable with specific instructions, including detail level, so you can have more control over the output. In addition, we are working on incorporating the Assistant into each note, which could also be used to make the current note more concise if desired.

I'd like a sliding scale of more to less detail to be customizable per note. Thank you!
