merge or split voice recordings

Use case:

if a user accidentally did 2 separate pets on the same voice note, we could cut the voice note from where the next appointment started and transfer that to a file if possible, or, if a user recorded two separate notes for the same patient and wanted to merge them,

Thanks for the feedback. We’re going to look into better ways to handle situations where multiple pets are accidentally included in one recording.

For now, there are a few ways this can be handled. If the recording includes multiple pets, you can regenerate the note as a Multi-Pet SOAP by using Create from Template in the new Notes layout and choosing Multi-Pet SOAP. This should create separate SOAPs for each pet within the same note.

For regular SOAPs, we’ve also improved how Talkatoo handles multiple pets in one recording. If the pets’ names are mentioned and there is a clear separation in the recording, the SOAP should label the different pets and include their relevant findings within each section.

You can also use the in-note Assistant to separate the content after the note is generated. For example, you could ask it to “separate this into distinct SOAPs for each pet,” then copy the individual outputs as needed.

The new Notes layout is our first step toward a more case-based workflow. The idea is that related items, such as SOAPs, procedures, call summaries, follow-ups, client communications, and recordings, can live together around the same visit or patient interaction. You will be able to move individual recording segments and other content between cases, which should help in situations where something was added to the wrong case or a new case was created by accident.
